Thursday June 13, 2013 At FIBA's Tournament of The Americas, in Punta Del Este, Uruguay, Team Bahamas suffered a crushing loss as we were out matched by the size of The USA's team. Team USA towered over Team Bahamas with 3 players at 6'10, 2 at 6'9", 1 at 6'7" and 3 at 6'6". While Team Bahamas had a little bit more height than last year we maxed out with 1 player at 6'6", 2 at 6'5", 2 at 6'4". Shamar "THE FUTURE" Burrows drives past a player from Mexico in the Bahamas' first win , 77-54 in the FIBA Tournament of the Americas U16 Competition, held in Maldonado Uruguay, Wed June 12, 2013
Tuesday June 11, 2013 at the FIBA Americas competition Maldonado Uruguay, Team Bahamas was "out sized" by Team Argentina, as their inside presence was overwhelming. Foul trouble kept two of our top scorers, Daejour Adderley and Sebastian Gray sidelined for large portions of the game. Throughout the first 3 1/2 quarters team Bahamas kept the lead within a striking distance of 10 to 12 points. At the 7 min point, they brought the lead down to 6, yet with 5 minutes left, Argentina's shots began to fall, making threes and eventually pulling away, with a final score of 74 - 53.

On Wed June 12, 2013, Team Bahamas faces Mexico, a CBC rival who lost to USA by 99 points. We hope to win the game vs Mexico to keep our World Games hopes a possibility.
